The area's finest pizza shops are getting ready for the Mahoning Valley Pizza Cook Off this Sunday.
The event at The Embassy is a benefit for the Potential Development Program, which provides pre-school and K-8 education for local children with autism and special needs.
A panel of judges will sample a wide variety of pizza pies.
"The judges are going to be looking at two categories," said Sue Stricklin from Home Savings & Loan, "basically, taste and appearance of each of the pizzas. We have four categories; traditional, gourmet, non-red, and Brier Hill. They're going to look for the crust, the sauce, the toppings, all different things. So, they get to taste 48 pieces of pizza."
The event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. this Sunday at The Embassy. For tickets, call (330) 788-0588.
